This zany play-within-a-play, choose-your-own-adventure style musical offered many fun opportunities to play with murder mystery conventions. Based on Charles Dickens’ last, unfinished novel, this musical presents an intriguing mystery and an ensemble of potential suspects, then asks the audience to cast their vote on how they want the story to end. I especially enjoyed paying homage to classic murder mystery conventions and designing costumes that feel like costumes.
