Designing for this 4 week theatre camp for kids was an incredible chance to introduce young people to the magic of theatre. Descendants features the children of many iconic Disney villains and heroes attempting to reconcile their differences and learn to accept one another. My design used color stories to connect each child with their Disney parent and translated those palettes into modern school-kid styles. I prioritized durability and comfort to suit the needs of each child while creating a cohesive stage picture. The best part of this whole process was the chance to get to know these talented kids and teach them about costumes and how they reflect character.
